WAXING DO’s & DON’Ts

DO :

  • Shower at least 1 hour before your appointment

    Avoid caffeine on the day of your appointment

  • Let your technician know of any medications which may interfere with the integrity of your skin (Accutane, Retin-A, etc.) Very important

  • Moisturize with a fragrance-free, gentle moisturizer the days after your wax

  • Wear loose, breathable fabrics to allow the skin to breathe and prevent friction

DON’T :

  • Shower immediately AFTER your wax

  • Immerse waxed areas in bodies of water such as pools, hot tubs, or the ocean (this makes it easier for bacteria to grow in your pores, which are now more porous and open) for 24-48 hours after your wax

  • Expose the area to direct sunlight for 24 Hours before or after your wax
